Professional Practices 5: All images completed + Pitch Ideas
As of today, all the deliverables, minus the Presentation and Example Mock-Ups/ Images, are in a submittable state, here isa Google Drive Folder to preview them, these ones look identical to all the final images except the ppi is incorrect on some of the JPEG Files (Which has now been corrected).

As I've stated many times within this Professional Practices Blog, I was initially worried to do this project because of my lack of knowledge or expertise when it comes to Illustrator. As I went through, doing each image, sometimes multiple times, I became much more comfortable with each step to where the most difficult part of each deliverable was making sure the parameters were set correctly (e.g. ppi, colour set-up, Bleeds, Borders, Marks, file type etc.)
There were some other mistakes however moreso in Practice, which had to be corrected too, such as having inconsistent dates among posters, using PNGs, instead of the Vectors for logos and the general lack of functionality with the Aksidenz Typeface.
I'd say I have overcome all of these aspects with a degree of success for the project and now that is done I need to now tackle the presentation/ pitch for the branding I went with and how I will pitch it then to my theoretical stakeholders.
A Good place to start with this will be to look at the Brief:
"You need to produce a PowerPoint presentation of your concept proposal that shows your finished image design and the thought process behind your idea.
Your PowerPoint presentation needs to include examples that clearly show how your image design will be used across all the RA’s marketing and communications, creative media and merchandise listed in the creative brief
It should also include examples of your final design proposal in context, e.g. London Underground station, bus shelter, billboard, social media website, and merchandise – this could be a postcard, greetings card, calendar, framed poster, cups, T-shirt etc"
This tells me:
- I need to make and show Mock-Ups of Merchandise
- I need to make a powerpoint of Around 15 Minutes
- I need to explain my artwork, the Idea behind it, why it is relevant to the Summer Exhibition and why it is good for marketing it.
- I should ask a question which frames why my artwork is a good choice for branding and therefore represent RA.
- I should reference Michael Craig-Martin as, subconciously or not, I was influenced by him.
