Animate 6

https://ca-net.herts.ac.uk/~sp22aby/City/4City Example.html https://ca-net.herts.ac.uk/~sp22aby/City/5City Example.html Today we experimented with a simple day/ night transition in Adobe Animate. while it is only the sky that changes, using the buttons to cause a change in the scenery may be useful in the upcoming project to make the story more interactive

Animate 7

https://ca-net.herts.ac.uk/~sp22aby/Walk cycle practice 1/Walk 1.html Today we experimented creating animated characters in Adobe Animate (You can view mine in the link above). Unless you are using the bone tool it is largely the same as Photoshop animation in regards to repositioning limbs in a layered manner as symbols effectively replace layers and are a little more fiddly in  opinion so you need to be especially sure of what layer/symbol you have selected when making changes sure changing source symbols linked to other symbols does lead to quicker changes howver, whiucis where animate is superior to Photoshop.

Unreal Game 1

Today I started creating my Game for my project in Unreal engine, which ultimately I chose over Unity because I prefer the controls when placing objects and the node based coding system. The concept I decided on a survival horror where the goal is to an escape an area by collecting pages to escape an abandoned mansion/ hospital type thing while evading a monster. There may be a FLASH mechanic to stun the mopnster and evade him, permitting I have the time/ assisstance to create it. Mechanics Flash (potentially): You will have a camera that flashes the monster and temporarily stuns it. Notes: There will be notes spread about the level, which you will press the 'E' key on to pick up. The note will then place a number on the screen which you will use to input a code to open he exit door. The number will appear in the correct place in the sequence at the top of the screen. Keypad Door: The end of the level will be locked behind a door which needs a code for entry. The code will be

Animate 5

Here you can see my Interactive Poster here: https://ca-net.herts.ac.uk/~sp22aby/Visions Final//Poster/Visions2.html Today I spent most of the time adding text and content to my interactive poster, I refined the the block animation in the background so it resets after a cycle rather than during, I added created an eye logo to represent my 'organic prosthetics' section of which there are two variants, I also added the required text such as information about the exhibits, location and event which were required on the brief. Overall, I'm very happy with the outcome that I have arrived at and I now feel like I can use Animate Much better than I used to be able to even last week. In a project such as this however, it really shows the broad extent of what a 'designer' can be whether it is the code itself, the visual style of each page or even aspects like spacing and positioning. I would certainly say that I am stronger in some aspects compared to others like I certainly

Animate 4 + Design Research

Image
Here are two posters that I made today using pre-made assets for a science exhibition from the past. I experimented with the spacing and positioning of the imagery. The original did not have the transparent clips in the background originally, they were my addition to the design. My rendition of this poster in many ways is much less ambitious than my peers, who were slanting text and making intricate patterns with multiple paperclips so in that regard this is quite a simplistic poster. I suppose it works for the context of the exhibition however as it is about 'the genius of everyday things' and I am simply presenting a lone paperclip in all its genius. Today I also began to work on my interactive poster project. as of yet mine feels quite inadequate compared to previous years, perhaps bland as I tried to go for a simplistic style which just feels somewhat empty. I suppose once I add an animated background for all the pages it shall look more interesting but as of yet there is s
